Devin attended the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1996. Before attending law school, Devin attended the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he graduated with honors and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication in 1993. Devin is currently licensed to practice law in the states of Kansas and Missouri and is a member of the Missouri Western District Court of Appeals.

Devin is an experienced lawyer with over 25 years of litigation experience. Prior to joining Stange, PC, Devin spent the previous 15 years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Jackson County, MO. In this role, he served in the Domestic Violence/Special Victims Unit and worked to prosecute domestic violence crimes, driving while intoxicated, drug offenses, violent crimes, homicides, child and adult sexual offenses. He also handled all special actions, including probation violation hearings. Before that, he served in the Family Support Unit, where he worked in the child support enforcement division. In this role, he was responsible for reviewing referrals for legal action from the Division of Family Services and determining whether a legal action was feasible. He also filed and prosecuted civil contempt actions and criminal charges when necessary, while maintaining and monitoring a probation caseload that included filing and prosecuting probation violations for defendants who failed to pay child support. Prior to that, Devin worked for 7 years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Camden County, Missouri, where he was the project director for the Domestic Violence Unit of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, a federally funded program under the Violence Against Women Act and supervised by the Missouri Department of Public Safety. In this role, he kept grant documentation up to date, managed a domestic violence investigator, and served as the lead prosecutor for domestic violence cases while prosecuting a variety of other crimes, misdemeanors, and probation violations. Devin also worked for 3 years as an Assistant Public Defender in the Missouri State Public Defender's Office, where he served as trial attorney for the public defender office’s trial division.

When Devin is not busy helping his clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. They enjoy playing games, watching the Royals and Chiefs, and can often be found at the zoo on nice days. Devin also enjoys playing golf and fantasy football.
