Katie attended the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she earned her Juris Doctor in May 2010. Before studying law, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Colorado College in Colorado Springs in May 2005. Katie is licensed to practice law and assist individuals in Nebraska.

Katie brings extensive legal experience to her role with the divorce and family law attorneys in Omaha, Nebraska, at Stange Law Firm. Her experience includes family law, juvenile advocacy, civil litigation, and real estate matters. She began her career handling oil and gas hearings, misdemeanor defense, and divorce and child custody litigation. As a contract attorney, she represented clients in minor offenses and provided pro bono legal services. In juvenile court, Katie served as a guardian ad litem, representing state wards and advising the court on the best interests of children. Her practice expanded to include juvenile delinquency cases, adoptions, guardianships, and landlord-tenant disputes. Katie then focused on civil litigation and family law, handling cases involving dissolution, custody, and paternity while advocating for minors in court. Most recently, Katie has focused on negotiating vehicle impoundment issues, reviewing potential conversion claims, and resolving diminished value claims with insurance companies. Her diverse experience highlights strong advocacy, negotiation, and litigation skills across a variety of legal matters.
