Jan is a partner in the Employment, Pensions, and Benefits team. He is the current managing partner of Lydian until the end of 2024.

• Developing HR policies
• Internal investigations and employee fraud
• Proceedings before labor courts

Expertise and Experience
Jan represents companies, public authorities, and individual executives. His extensive experience in labor law includes handling collective dismissals, proceedings before labor courts, and negotiations with unions. He also advises on key tax aspects and termination arrangements.

As a legal expert for the Belgian Institute of Fraud Auditors (IFA), Jan is regularly involved in investigations of employee fraud, including whistleblowing cases and dismissals for urgent reasons.

Background
Jan graduated in law from KUL in 1992. In 1993, he earned an additional degree in tax sciences from the Fiscal College (EHSAL). He was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1992.
