D. MCCORMACK Bradley

Bradley McCormack was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. Brad attended Rockhurst University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 2000. He then studied law at Saint Louis University and graduated in 2003 before returning to Kansas City. Brad began his career in the public sector, first with Legal Aid of Western Missouri and then with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office. He later worked for NovaStar Financial, Inc., where he practiced corporate law.

Brad joined The Sader Law Firm in 2007, where he currently focuses his practice on bankruptcies, including Chapter 11 bankruptcies, as well as commercial real estate and business litigation. He has extensive experience litigating in state and federal courts. He is also experienced in debtor and creditor issues in Kansas and in the Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri.

Brad has appeared before bankruptcy courts in Missouri and Kansas, the 8th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District, the Eastern District, and state courts in approximately 30 counties across Western Missouri and Kansas. His experience in the Western District of Missouri and Kansas has enabled him to assist hotels, restaurants, apartment complexes, wholesale suppliers, and transportation companies. Brad has also assisted small businesses under the new Small Business Reorganization Act or “Subchapter V” of the Bankruptcy Code.

Additionally, Brad has defended numerous companies and individuals in preference actions and fraudulent transfer claims related to large-scale national bankruptcies under Chapter 11. He has also served as counsel for the General Unsecured Creditors’ Committee in bankruptcies filed in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
