Summary

Sandy Blazar is an associate attorney at Causey & Ye Law, with a focus on family law. She approaches her work with compassion, guiding clients through the complexities of divorce, property division, and custody matters. Sandy believes every family deserves tailored and thoughtful legal solutions, particularly during life’s most challenging transitions. In addition to her family law practice, Sandy assists Yangyidi Ye, one of the managing partners at Causey & Ye Law, with immigration matters.

Sandy’s legal journey has been shaped by diverse and significant experiences, including her three years as a law clerk at Hennepin County District Court, where she worked in both Family and Criminal Courts. During this time, she managed various divorce cases, complex property divisions, and contentious custody disputes. Her responsibilities included conducting detailed financial analyses of marital estates to ensure equitable property settlements. Sandy's training in Divorce Financial Analysis further enables her to offer expert insight into the financial aspects of divorce, such as the division of complex assets, spousal maintenance, and child support calculations.

In addition to her courtroom experience, Sandy is a certified family mediator, with specialized training in Social Early Neutral Evaluation and Civil Mediation. These qualifications equip her to facilitate amicable resolutions, often helping parties avoid prolonged and costly litigation. Her mediation practice focuses on finding balanced solutions that address the needs and interests of all parties involved.

Sandy’s approach to family law is rooted in empathy, clear communication, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. She recognizes that family law matters are deeply personal and strives to provide support that is both legally sound and emotionally sensitive. Whether handling a complex divorce or a delicate custody arrangement, Sandy is dedicated to guiding her clients through the legal process with clarity and care.

Before transitioning to law, Sandy worked as a Coordinator and Adjunct Instructor at the University of Minnesota while earning a doctoral degree in Kinesiology, with a focus on Sports Management and Sports Law. These roles allowed her to develop strong conflict resolution skills and an ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds—skills that have proven invaluable in her family law practice.
