Debra joined The Maddox Law Firm after retiring from a highly respected career with the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch as an Adult Probation Officer. She initially pursued her passion for Criminal Justice by earning a Bachelor of Science from Pace University. Her minors were in Law and in Sociology/Anthropology. Her invaluable contributions to helping criminal court-involved clients rehabilitate themselves were her hallmark.During its inaugural year, Debra was presented with the 2014 Adult Probation Officer of the Year Award from the Judicial Branch’s Court Support Services Division Executive Director. This honor is awarded annually to the Adult Probation Officer whose “overall performance is considered outstanding by their peers in the areas of Quality of Work, Leadership, Positive Attitude, Professionalism, Dependability, Teamwork, and Respect.” During her specialized case management assignment of female clients, she continued to distinguish herself, and her Quality Assurance Coach and Team acknowledged her remarkable achievements with the “Outstanding Rookie Award” and the “Outstanding Female Responsive Award.”Throughout her career, Debra worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others, first as a case manager at two Alternative to Incarceration Centers in Connecticut and later as a Support Enforcement Officer for the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch Support Enforcement Services.Debra’s passion for learning and compassion for others led her to pursue her education further while working full-time as an Adult Probation Officer. She completed her Masters of Public Administration – Government Track, and then earned her law degree from Pace University School of Law. She now uses her education and experience from her earlier career to assist and advocate for the clients of The Maddox Law Firm. Debra ensures our clients receive the best possible outcomes to the challenges that they confront.In her free time, Debra enjoys traveling, expanding her knowledge about history, and cheering on her favorite sports teams!
