Emerson A. Bonzo Ejie Evander

Ejie is an Associate at Puyat Jacinto and Santos (PJS) Law.

He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo De Manila University School of Law with a track specialization in Litigation and Dispute Resolution in 2022 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023.

During his time in law school, he was a student-associate of the Ateneo Legal Services Center, as well as a member of the Ateneo Society of International law and its Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition delegation in 2021 and 2022. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines - Diliman in 2018.

Ejie’s main areas of practice include Mergers and Acquisitions, Conflict Resolution, and Corporate and Commercial Law.

Experience

• Various clients: Part of the team acting as counsel to foreign and local entities by providing general corporate services. Work includes assistance in the establishment of local subsidiaries, regulatory compliance and disclosure; secretary's certificates and the preparation of documents for filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, contract review and drafting documents for various corporate transactions and corporate filings.

• Confidential client: Part of the team acting as counsel to a foreign subsidiary for the processing of the application for the Satellite Systems Provider or Operator accreditation. Work includes representing the client before the Department of Information and Communications Technology.

• Various clients: Assists as counsel for various litigation concerns composed mostly of making appearances in court and other administrative tribunals, drafting and review of legal pleadings, developing case theories and strategies and assisting clients in amicably settling disputes.

• Various clients: Assists clients in various labor and employment-related issues. Work includes drafting opinions, reviewing employment agreements, providing advice on company policies and regulations as well as employee relations, and representing clients before the National Labor Relations Commission.
