Robert has over 40 years of experience as a Legal Adviser and Legal Consultant in Oman working at the highest levels of the Government and the commercial sector. Lately Robert has been advising various foreign companies on establishing operations in Oman and contractual arrangements with local partners/shareholders. (2019 to date) Robert supplied legal services for Myah Gulf Oman Desalination Company SAOC, providing in house legal advice on all aspects of the EPC and WPA and the preparation and review of correspondence with the EPC contractor and the concerned Government and Sector Authorities including OPWP. (2017 to 2019.Robert supplied services as a Legal Consultant to Oman Aviation SAOC, Salam Air SAOC, involved in all aspects of commercial contracts and also the setting up of inhouse legal departments. (2018 to 2019) Robert worked as a secondment from the Ministry of Legal Affairs to Oman Airports Management Co. SAOC. then as a Legal Consultant to OAMC from 1st October 2016 until April 2018. Assisted in the set up and training of the in-house legal department and the formulation of standard contracts and standard legal procedures, involved in all aspects of OAMC corporate legal services. Robert worked as a Senior Legal Adviser in the Ministry of Royal Diwan Affairs, then Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs and then Principal Legal Adviser in Ministry of Legal Affairs (Mustashar Awal Alif) and was involved in the drafting and establishment of the Sector Laws, and all aspects of the drafting of PPA’s and WPA’s.
