Poon Choong Yiew practises in the area of commercial and civil litigation involving contested and non-contested matters, with a primary focus on contract, debt recovery, tenancy, employment and industrial relations, commercial and corporate, real estate and property, probate and letter of administration, and matrimonial and family matters. He also handles appeals and judicial review.Choong Yiew previously practised in banking litigation and with extensive experience in the area of hire purchase disputes, debt recovery matters, enforcement and execution, bankruptcy, companies winding-up, foreclosure, contractual matters and forfeiture of property by public authorities involving banking and financial institutions.Choong Yiew graduated from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom with an LL.B (Hons) (Second Upper) in 2013. He subsequently obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice in 2014 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2015.
