Helen’s South African background is a great asset when working with our immigration clients, many of whom are moving to the Isle of Man from South Africa and other Commonwealth countries.Prior to joining Kinley Legal, Helen was employed as a Senior Company Administrator for 11 years followed by a further 15 years as a Client Portfolio Manager in the CSP (Corporate Service Provider) sector in the Isle of Man. During this time, Helen was responsible for the administration of a portfolio of trading and holding companies and acted as a director and authorised signatory for several companies she administered. Her client base covered various jurisdictions predominantly, South Africa, China, Portugal and other European countries.Helen’s recent experience included working for an Isle of Man-based furniture and interior design company. She was responsible for managing the import of furniture from China and day-to-day running of the business which enhanced her understanding of business management and knowledge of the Chinese market and Chinese entrepreneurship.Helen arrived in the Isle of Man in 1994, having left Cape Town to settle on the Island with her family. In Cape Town she had spent five years with the Department of Inland Revenue as an Estate Assessor, followed by working for three major accounting firms over a period of nine years as an Income Tax Administrator, culminating in a further two years as an Investment Consultant.
