Mackenzie earned her Juris Doctor (JD) from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Brain and Cognition from the University of Guelph.

Mackenzie has experience in a wide range of immigration matters, including study permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA), work permits, spousal sponsorship, citizenship, temporary and permanent residence applications, responses to procedural fairness letters, and judicial review applications.
