Leo Rayner obtained his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014 and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2015.Leo is a lawyer with a background in criminal law. During his first year of law school, he worked as head of the criminal division within the community services and legal aid program at Osgoode Law School. After his second year, he was selected for a competitive summer student position at the Crown Attorney's Office in North York, where he assisted with criminal prosecutions. Leo completed his articling at Lockyer Campbell Posner, a leading criminal law firm in Toronto, and spent his first year of practice as an associate at Lockyer Campbell Posner and Edward H. Royle and Associates.Leo is an experienced advocate, both orally and in writing, and has considerable courtroom experience. As a criminal defense lawyer, he has conducted numerous bail hearings and trials at the Ontario Court of Justice and has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal. He applies the same diligence to his work in immigration and refugee law as he did in his previous criminal law practice. Meticulous and detail-oriented, Leo will put his skills to work for you, helping you navigate the often complex immigration process.When not working, Leo swims laps at a local pool. A competitive swimmer since childhood, he still participates (and often wins medals) in provincial and national masters swimming competitions. Having coached swimming for nearly a decade before becoming a lawyer, Leo is just as happy to offer advice on your swimming technique as he is on your case.Leo can also assist clients in Russian.
