Jan has extensive expertise in individual and collective labor law, particularly in matters of business transfers, supplementary pensions, salary optimization, and social benefits. He is also specialized in pension law, insurance law, governance and structure of pension funds, as well as all private and public sector pension-related issues. Additionally, he represents his clients’ interests in complex labor law disputes, particularly those involving professional pension schemes. Jan is frequently called upon to draft or amend pension regulations and confidently handles international employment situations and the pension aspects of corporate transactions.Jan is a member of the Belgian Association of Pension Institutions (PensioPlus) and participates in several of its specialized working groups, which aim to provide high-level contributions to the government and social partners on legislative proposals. Furthermore, he is the author of various publications in his areas of expertise and regularly speaks at seminars and conferences.Jan holds a Master's degree in law from KU Leuven (2009). He also earned an advanced Master's degree in pension law from KU Leuven in 2013 and a certificate from the PensioPlus Multidisciplinary Academy in 2015.Jan joined the Brussels office of Stibbe in 2014.
