Jonas Van OrshovenSenior Partner in our Regulatory Practice, Jonas is an attorney specializing in environmental and energy law, working on complex regulatory and litigation matters for regulators and both international and national companies.He has particular expertise in the application of environmental and energy law, environmental permitting, climate regulations, emissions trading systems, and environmental liability litigation. Jonas' experience in the industrial and waste management sectors leads him to collaborate with national industry leaders as well as large multinationals, providing advice to major industrial companies. He is an expert in environmental due diligence and has a specific interest and expertise in food regulation.He regularly assists clients in proceedings and represents them before civil courts, regulators, the Council of State, the Constitutional Court, and the Flemish Council for Permit Disputes, including in urgent procedures.Jonas holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Antwerp (2018) and a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences (M.Sc.) from the Institute for Environment and Sustainable Development at the University of Antwerp. During his studies, Jonas was a member of his university's constitutional law moot court team.Jonas is the author of several publications on environmental, climate, and energy law. He is a member of the core editorial team of the Environmental and Energy Law Review (Milieu- en Energierecht).He joined Liedekerke in 2018 and was promoted to Senior Partner.
