Prior to taking up law Eleanor worked in industry for a number of years with variety of entities ranging from owner/managed businesses to multinational companies.As a mature student she attended the University of Glamorgan in South Wales, subsequently qualifying as an English Solicitor in 2004.Eleanor has mainly worked in the commercial and corporate sphere advising on a wide variety of non-contentious matters from acquisitions, sales and joint ventures, to banking and finance, shareholder agreements, business set ups and corporate governance. Advising, small local companies to large FTSE quoted companies and working in co-operation with law firms in England, Europe and the United States on multi-jurisdictional matters.Whilst not her main focus, Eleanor also has experience advising clients on estate planning, wills, probate and powers of attorney.Eleanor is a member of the Institute of Directors and has served as a director on a number of client companies whose businesses ranged from high net worth rental property portfolios, intellectual property and super yachts, on occasion providing advice to those boards on matters of Manx law and corporate governance.In 2018 Eleanor gained certification as a GDPR Practitioner and has provided advice and support to clients updating and implementing GDPR in their organisations.The wide experience Eleanor has gained over the years, means her clients gain a practical and common sense approach to their matters.
