A graduate in law from the University of Montreal, Me Anick Thibodeau was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2003. She joined the law firm Doré Tourigny at the beginning of her career, which has since evolved with different lawyers. From the outset, she was a partner at the firm.Determined, driven, and energetic, Me Thibodeau is known for her ability to provide sound advice and guidance. She has a general law practice, but a significant portion of her work focuses on family law and divorce, real estate law (including disputes related to property sales, purchases, and hidden defects), private adoption, estate litigation, and commercial law.In addition, Me Thibodeau is an arbitrator and mediator in family, civil, commercial, and labor law matters, as well as a mediator for the Small Claims Court of Quebec. She handles litigation cases before all judicial instances, although when possible, she prefers alternative dispute resolution methods. She is also the assignee of all cases from Me Anne Tourigny.Me Thibodeau is highly involved in the legal community, as well as in her broader community. In the legal field, she served as president of the Association of Lawyers in the Saint-Hyacinthe district for several years. In this role, she was responsible for liaising between the courthouse, the Ministry of Justice, the Quebec Bar, and the lawyers in the Saint-Hyacinthe district.On the community front, Me Thibodeau has been involved with nonprofit organizations, serving on boards of directors and volunteering her time. She is currently a board member of the Maison Victor-Gadbois.
