Kate has worked on a wide range of intellectual property matters, both contentious and non-contentious, particularly in the field of patents. She has experience in patent litigation before the UK High Court and Court of Appeal, as well as in coordinating cross-border litigation. Kate has a particular interest in the life sciences sector, especially pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, and has a strong understanding of technical issues in this field due to her background in biochemistry.Before qualifying within the Intellectual Property Litigation department, Kate completed her training at Bristows. During this time, she spent three months with the International Litigation team of a leading Internet services and technology company. Kate was also seconded to the Patent Department of an international pharmaceutical company, focusing primarily on biologics.
