He has an in-depth knowledge of contract law.Lieven advises his clients on all aspects of complex real estate transactions, including: real estate project structuring; real estate mergers and acquisitions; sale-leaseback transactions; joint ventures; leasing; REIT structures; (re)development projects. He has advised his clients on various major transactions in the Belgian market, involving several large logistics hubs and hotels; office buildings; commercial properties; courts; large (re)developments in city centers; and other niche real estate products (including dark kitchens and mixed-use projects).Peeters is a member and evaluator of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). He is a member of the legal committee of the Belgian-Luxembourg Council for Retail and Shopping Centers (BLSC) and the European Council of Shopping Centers (ECSP). Lieven is also a member of the Professional Association of the Real Estate Sector (BVS – UPSI); the Urban Land Institute (ULI); the Belgian Association for Construction Law (BVBR – ABDC); and a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
