Bart De Moor is a partner in our Conflict Resolution and Restructuring & Insolvency department.He assists and advises our clients in litigation before the courts or through alternative dispute resolution methods in the areas of corporate law, commercial law, private international law, and securities. This includes complex international matters as well as local issues. A significant part of his work revolves around corporate law disputes, such as shareholder or director conflicts, directors' liability, and insolvency-related disputes. He also specializes in restructuring and insolvency law and is regularly appointed by courts as a judicial officer. He was designated by the court as a judicial officer in the reorganization proceedings of the Belgian airline Sabena, Photo Hall Multimedia, and Flamant Group, as well as in the bankruptcy proceedings of Photo Hall Multimedia and Free Record Shop.Bart is an accredited mediator in civil and commercial matters, recognized by the Federal Mediation Commission since 2007, and acts as a judicial officer before the Brussels Business Court (Ondernemingsrechtbank / Tribunal de l’entreprise). He is the president of bMediation, the mediation center of the Brussels Chamber of Commerce and the Brussels Bar.Bart is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at KU Leuven and the author of numerous books and articles published in legal journals. He is a member of the editorial board of the legal journal DAOR (Droit des Affaires - OndernemingsRecht), a member of INSOL Europe and INSOL World, and a co-chair of the Reorganization and Workouts subcommittee of the Insolvency Section of the International Bar Association (IBA).
