Presentation
Thomas Naenen has been a member of the Brussels Bar since September 2023.
He focuses on aspects of criminal law related to business, such as money laundering, forgery, financial and tax fraud, and violations of special criminal laws.
References
In 2022, Thomas participated as a member of the University of Antwerp team in the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition, an international moot court competition centered on the European Convention on Human Rights. He was awarded the “Best Candidate” prize during the preliminary rounds and received a score of 39.25/40 from the jury.
Education
Thomas Naenen graduated with distinction from the University of Antwerp. After obtaining his master’s degree, he pursued an additional course in economic, tax, and social criminal law at KU Leuven (Catholic University of Leuven).
He complemented his academic path with several internships at large and medium-sized law firms. Additionally, Thomas interned at the United Nations and the World Trade Organization in Geneva.
Beyond his involvement in several student associations, Thomas Naenen is one of the founders of the Antwerp Law School Consultancy (ALSC), where he served as Vice President in charge of education.
