ARNAUTS-SMEETS Jacques

After completing his secondary education at the Jesuit College of Turnhout, Jacques Arnauts-Smeets began his law studies at the University of Antwerp. He then completed his master’s degree at KU Leuven, graduating with a law degree in 1989. Jacques Arnauts-Smeets also pursued additional training in Taxation in Brussels, earning a diploma in Fiscal Sciences in 1990.

Jacques Arnauts-Smeets has been a member of the Turnhout Bar since 1991. In 1994, he was registered on the Roll of the Turnhout Bar. Since 2005, he has also been listed on the Roll of the Brussels Bar and, since February 2015, in Leuven as well.

He also serves as a trustee for corporate courts in Turnhout and Brussels. Since June 2015, he has been appointed as a trustee at the Leuven Business Court.

He speaks and writes fluently in Dutch, English, and French.
