When facing a divorce or a family law issue, it’s important to understand that things will eventually improve if you take the right steps to protect your rights. Having an attorney by your side who understands what you’re going through and is there for you at every stage of the process can provide much-needed peace of mind. Nia Malone is an associate attorney at Stange Law Firm. She is located at our Clayton, MO, law office and is ready to assist clients throughout the St. Louis area.
Nia attended the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in December 2023. During law school, Nia was a member of the Black Law Student Association and the Inclusion and Empowerment Committee. She also served as Secretary of the Student Bar Association, Co-Chair of the Diverse Student Coalition, and a member of the law school’s recruitment committee. Before law school, Nia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. During her undergraduate studies, she was recognized on the honor roll for several semesters and received the KU Excellence Scholarship. Nia is currently licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri.
Before joining Stange Law Firm’s family and divorce law team in St. Louis, Missouri, Nia recently worked as a research assistant for a Kansas City area law firm. In this role, she analyzed numerous trial documents to provide trial summaries to clients facing the death penalty, tracked cases and researched legal trends, and conducted research on various complex procedural and substantive issues to ensure compliance with laws and rules across different states, including post-conviction processes. During law school, Nia worked as a legal assistant for the Overland Park Municipal Court Prosecutor’s Office and as a student intern for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the Federal Public Defender’s Office. These roles allowed Nia to enhance her legal experience, dedicating time to tasks such as drafting and reviewing legal documents, researching and establishing relevant precedents, participating in court hearings, and preparing and maintaining client relationships.
