Tommy graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Laws from University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield, United Kingdom in 2015 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2017. He commenced his pupillage in MahWengKwai & Associates under the guidance of Dato’ Mah Weng Kwai, Mr Raymond Mah and Ms Cassandra Nicole Thomazios, and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in May 2019. Upon his admission to the Malaysian Bar, he began his practice in MahWengKwai & Associates as an Associate. In May 2022, Tommy was recognised as a Senior Associate of MahWengKwai & Associates.
Tommy is primarily involved in corporate and commercial matters, such as mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing of intellectual property rights, digital assets and regulatory compliance. He is also involved in construction and project agreements. He has previously assisted his colleagues in several general litigation matters.
