Presentation
I consider myself to be from Tallinn – born in 1974 and raised in Tallinn. After completing the mandatory military service following high school, I began my studies at Tallinn Pedagogical University, specializing in social work. One might think that, due to my adventurous childhood (a turbulent adolescence during a period of regime change), I’ve always been interested in risky behaviors and crisis psychology. As a result, I managed the social work department at the Maardu Juvenile Detention Center and volunteered at the Tallinn Crisis Assistance Center.
When the Estonian probation system was being established, I started working as the head of the probation service at the Tallinn City Court, a position I held until 2003.
Being exposed daily to issues related to risky behaviors, I became increasingly interested in the legal context surrounding these situations, which led me to begin studying law at the Faculty of Law. Since 2003, I left the public sector to work in the private sector, first as a lawyer at various law firms. Along the way, I gained my first professional experience as a part-time lawyer at a toy import company.
In 2011, I completed my Master's degree at the Law Academy of Tallinn University. I passed the bar exam in 2012 (a member of the Estonian Bar Association since October 30, 2012), and in the same year, I began working at the law firm Ahas & Heringson GLO.
I passed the bar exam again in 2018, which also granted me the professional title of attorney. Since the establishment of the TETRIS law firm in 2021, I have been working there.
At TETRIS, I specialize in civil litigation and have represented clients at all judicial levels in the country, as well as in non-judicial bodies, including rental committees, consumer disputes, trademark issues, and labor conflicts. I have also represented clients in sports-related disputes (competition results, athlete memberships).
In addition to Estonian, I communicate with clients in Russian and English.
