Presentation
Elmo assists his clients with a wide range of real estate-related matters, combining his expertise in construction law and real estate law. He is particularly active in project development, PPPs, real estate transactions and leases, as well as general real estate contracts. He has gained significant experience in forward funding and forward acquisition transactions. Elmo advises on various types of real estate assets, including retail spaces, warehouses, offices, residences, hotels, public infrastructure, and parking facilities. He provides advisory and contract drafting services to his clients and represents them in arbitration and court proceedings.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Elmo is an assistant at the Institute of Law of Obligations at KU Leuven. He teaches a tutorial on contracts and torts to third-year undergraduate students and delivers a course on contractualization as part of the master’s program "The Law of Obligations in Business." Moreover, Elmo guides master’s students in writing their theses in the field of the law of obligations.
Elmo earned a master’s degree in law from KU Leuven in 2017 (magna cum laude). He joined the Brussels office of Stibbe the same year. In 2019, Elmo obtained NEC4 ECC Project Manager accreditation from the British Institution of Civil Engineers. He completed the Stibbe MBA Highlights program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau (France) in 2023. From May 2023 to October 2023, Elmo was seconded to the New York office of a multinational American law firm.
