Pieter's practice in real estate and mergers and acquisitions includes the structuring of real estate projects (offices, hotels, residential, commercial, and industrial), sale-leaseback transactions, and joint ventures. He manages both real estate asset transactions and real estate business transactions/mergers and acquisitions.

Pieter's practice in financing (project financing) covers asset and project financing transactions, including those related to the energy transition, as well as the financial aspects of real estate transactions.

Pieter also advises on the financial markets dimension of real estate transactions, particularly public and private real estate investment funds (REITs). He has specialized expertise in the retail sector, advising investors and developers on shopping center and luxury retail transactions. He has also gained significant experience in the healthcare sector, managing acquisitions, divestments, financing, and construction transactions.
