S. BROWN, FCIARB Karen

Karen Brown currently serves as the Deputy Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Her areas of practice include Admiralty Law, Family Law, and Commercial and Civil Litigation, where she has a particular focus on Industrial Relations & Employment law. She also has vast experience in Conveyancing and Real Property Law and other regulatory matters, including applications to The Bahamas Investments Board and other governmental entities.  Karen has also assisted in the conduct of international financing transactions.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados where she graduated with honours in 2000. She obtained a Legal Education Certificate at the Eugene Dupuch Law School in Nassau, Bahamas in September 2002. Karen has been recognized as a recommended attorney by Legal 500 Caribbean (2022-2025).

She is a member of The Bahamas Bar Association and has lectured part-time at the University of The Bahamas Northern Campus. She is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
