Experience and Expertise
Isabel has extensive experience in Belgian and European individual and collective labor law.

She is a certified "Data Protection Officer" and advises her clients on data protection and workplace privacy matters. This includes best practices for processing HR-related personal data, drafting data protection and privacy policies, and ensuring GDPR compliance in HR processes.

She provides guidance on all aspects of workplace well-being and human resources. Isabel contributes to drafting policies and guidelines on topics such as recruitment, promotion, good conduct, training, reintegration of employees on sick leave, absenteeism, alcohol and drug use at work, and manages cases involving psychosocial risks and harassment.

Education
After obtaining her Master’s in Law at Ghent University in 1996, Isabel worked as a research assistant in labor law at the University. She also studied at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Instituto Cervantes. She was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2001.

Publications and Conferences
Isabel teaches labor law at the Faculty of Criminology, Criminal Law, and Social Law at Ghent University. She frequently speaks at seminars or conferences on labor law and workplace data protection and regularly publishes articles in journals and technical guides.

Additionally, Isabel prepares client briefings for the firm on HR and data protection issues. She is a member of the editorial boards of the journals Oriëntatie and Tijdschrift Privacy en Persoonsgegevens (Journal on Data Protection and Privacy).
