Atty. Hilarion B. Buban is a UP College of Law alumnus. He was admitted to the bar in 2005. In his long years in the practice of the law, he served the government as Public Prosecutor of the City of Manila, State Solicitor at the Office of the Solicitor General and Litigation Lawyer at the Government Service Insurance System. Before forming Buban & Lardizabal Law Offices in October 2015, Atty. Buban was the Managing Partner of Manalo, Perez & Buban Law Offices.

Atty. Buban is a private law practitioner and a professor of law at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and Philippine Law School. He is also a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Lecturer in Remedial Law and Public International Law. As a professor of law, Atty. Buban teaches Commercial Law, Taxation Law, Banking & Insurance Laws and Legal Philosophy.

Currently, Atty. Buban is the Deputy Director of Commission on Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
